The online platform conveyed that the film, under the directorship of Siddharth Anand, has amassed Rs. 5.75 crore nett in India across all linguistic dimensions. This reflects a reduction of almost a crore from the seventh day when the film raked in Rs. 6.5 crore. The film’s net domestic earnings currently stand at Rs. 146.25 crore. The aerial spectacle experienced an overall 11.33% Hindi occupancy on Thursday.

Although the film enjoyed a robust initial reception, it has been witnessing a consistent downturn in its second week. Recently, industry analyst Taran Adarsh, in his communication on X, expressed astonishment at the Indian box office performance of Siddharth Anand’s directorial venture, stating, “The underperformance of #Fighter has sent shock waves within the industry… Imagine, the film ticks all the boxes – right from star names and director’s credentials to tremendous critical acclaim and positive audience feedback… Yet, the dwindling numbers in #India are a complete shocker.”

“Fighter” boasts a runtime of 2 hours and 46 minutes, having obtained a U/A certification from the Central Board of Film Certification. Beyond the titular stars, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, the cast includes Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Talat Aziz, Pradum Shukla, and Pradum Jaykar in pivotal roles. Remarkably, this film marks the third collaboration between Hrithik and Deepika with Siddharth Anand, following their previous works in “Bang Bang” and “War.” Hrithik had previously collaborated with the director in the aforementioned films, while Deepika’s association includes “Bachna Ae Haseeno” and “Pathaan.”

News18 accorded the film a 4-star rating, praising it as “Phenomenally entertaining and consistently engaging, Fighter, for all the derivative genre components it compiles, is an action entertainer that crackles with energy.”
